This remote role involves reviewing electrical engineering tasks for power stations, including circuit design, switchgear, and power distribution systems. The ideal candidate has mandatory hands-on electrical engineering experience at a power generation facility, substation, or power plant construction company.
Description in English, as published by Mercor.
Role overview
Mercor is hiring electrical engineers with hands-on power station experience to review and annotate complex electrical engineering tasks. You will assess realistic design and field scenarios and produce clear written technical findings.
What you will do
-
Review tasks on power station electrical systems: circuit and control design, switchgear and protection, single-line diagrams, and power distribution
-
Check engineering assumptions, calculations, code and standards use, and equipment data
-
Flag ambiguity, missing constraints, and unrealistic deliverables
-
Produce clear written findings
Requirements
-
Current or recent hands-on electrical engineering experience at a power station, power generation facility, or substation. This is mandatory.
-
Circuit design depth: protection and controls, switchgear, power distribution, and the associated calculations
-
Experience at a company that builds or delivers power plants, such as an EPC contractor, power generation developer, utility, or owner engineering group
-
Your resume must clearly show the employer, the facility, and your own electrical scope of work. Applications that do not evidence power station experience on the resume will not advance.
Details
-
Approximately 10 to 20 hours per week initially
