Job Title: Strategic Project Lead, J.D./Legal Expertise

Job Type: Full-Time

Your Role

As a Strategic Projects Lead (SPL), Law & Legal, you will own end-to-end execution for projects with our top AI Lab customers, with a strong focus on legal and law-related work. You will translate customer needs into clear project specifications, design and launch domain-specific data pipelines, and align Operations and Legal experts to deliver quickly and at a high quality.

What You'll Do

• Own projects end to end, from pipeline framing and scoping through execution and delivery.
• Translate customer needs into clear, actionable project specifications for Legal workflows.
• Design and continuously improve domain-specific pipelines for usability, accuracy, quality, and scalability.
• Align Operations and Legal domain experts for rapid deployment.
• Set delivery milestones and drive a tight execution cadence.
• Own client communication, keeping it clear, direct, and consistent.
• Manage Legal domain experts and project leads to ensure quality and delivery.
• Provide daily internal updates with progress, blockers, and explicit next steps.

What We're Looking For

• JD (Juris Doctor) or equivalent law degree required.
• 2+ years of professional experience in legal practice, legal research, regulatory/compliance, or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with attorneys and senior Legal experts.
• Strong ownership, urgency, and attention to detail.
• Startup and entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward execution.
• 2+ years of experience leading complex projects, operational workflows, or legal-related initiatives.
• Ability to turn ambiguous customer requirements into clear plans and execute rapidly.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI/ML companies, AI Labs, or data annotation/evaluation projects.
• Experience managing legal, technical, or data-intensive projects.
• Familiarity with legal research, contract analysis, litigation, regulatory/compliance work, or other complex Legal workflows.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, AI training workflows, and human-in-the-loop operations.

Compensation & Benefits Notice

The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $180,000, $230,000 USD. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and employees may also receive performance-based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies. micro1 provides a comprehensive benefits package, including up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, a 401(K) plan with a company match, and additional benefits designed to support a high-performing, remote-first workforce.
