Job Title: Strategic Project Lead, Finance Expertise

Your Role

As a Strategic Projects Lead (SPL), Finance, you will own end-to-end execution for projects with our top AI Lab customers, with a strong focus on Finance. You will translate customer needs into clear project specifications, design and launch finance-focused data pipelines, and align Operations and Finance domain experts to deliver quickly and at a high quality.

What You'll Do

• Own projects end to end, from pipeline framing and scoping through execution and delivery.
• Translate customer needs into clear, actionable project specifications for Finance workflows.
• Design and continuously improve finance-focused pipelines for usability, accuracy, quality, and scalability.
• Align Operations and Finance domain experts for rapid deployment.
• Set delivery milestones and drive a tight execution cadence.
• Own client communication, keeping it clear, direct, and consistent.
• Manage Finance domain experts and project leads to ensure quality and delivery.
• Provide daily internal updates with progress, blockers, and explicit next steps.

What We're Looking For

• Strong background in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with senior Finance experts.
• Strong ownership, urgency, and attention to detail.
• Startup and entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward execution.
• 2+ years of experience leading complex projects, operational workflows, or finance-related initiatives.
• Ability to turn ambiguous customer requirements into clear plans and execute rapidly.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI/ML companies, AI Labs, or data annotation/evaluation projects.
• Experience managing finance-focused, technical, or data-intensive projects.
• Familiarity with financial modeling, investment analysis, financial markets, accounting, or other complex Finance workflows.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, AI training workflows, and human-in-the-loop operations.

Compensation & Benefits Notice

The national pay range for this full-time position is base salary of $180,000, $230,000 USD. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and employees may also receive performance-based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies. micro1 provides a comprehensive benefits package, including up to 100% reimbursement for health-insurance premiums, paid time off, a 401(K) plan with a company match, and additional benefits designed to support a high-performing, remote-first workforce.
