Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow HR Service Delivery and Integrations Senior Engineer to design, configure, develop, and support

employee-service solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role combines deep HRSD capability with strong enterprise-integration

engineering to deliver secure, scalable, and user-focused HR workflows across the employee lifecycle.

Core mandate: Deliver reliable HRSD solutions and secure integrations connecting ServiceNow with HR systems, identity

platforms, payroll, benefits, collaboration tools, and enterprise services.

Key Responsibilities

HRSD Solution Design & Configuration

• Configure and enhance ServiceNow HRSD capabilities, including HR Case Management, HR Services, COEs, HR templates,

assignment rules, SLAs, knowledge, and employee-facing experiences.

• Design employee lifecycle workflows such as onboarding, transfers, employee changes, leave-related services, offboarding, and

cross-functional fulfillment activities.

• Build and maintain HR service-catalog items, record producers, forms, flows, notifications, approvals, tasks, and service-level

controls.

• Configure Employee Center or HR portals, taxonomy, content, search, personalization, and role-based experiences in partnership with

UX and HR stakeholders.

Enterprise Integrations

• Design, build, test, and support integrations between ServiceNow and HR platforms such as PeopleSoft, Workday, payroll, benefits,

identity, document-management, and downstream enterprise systems.

• Implement integrations using Integration Hub, REST and SOAP APIs, scripted REST APIs, web services, MID Server, SFTP or file-based

interfaces, import sets, transform maps, events, and webhooks.

• Define interface contracts, field mappings, authentication, error handling, retries, reconciliation, monitoring, alerting, and operational

support procedures.

• Implement secure authentication and data exchange using OAuth, basic authentication where approved, certificates, SAML or OIDC

concepts, and least-privilege access patterns.

Development & Platform Engineering

• Develop using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, ACLs, Flow Designer, and

reusable scoped-application components.

• Apply ServiceNow development standards, code reviews, source control, update-set or application-repository practices, automated

testing, and CI/CD controls.

• Troubleshoot complex workflow, security, integration, performance, and data-quality issues across lower environments and

production.

• Support platform upgrades by assessing impacts, remediating skipped changes, validating integrations, and minimizing customization

risk and technical debt.

Security, Privacy & Data Governance

• Protect sensitive HR information through robust roles, groups, ACLs, COE security, data segregation, encryption, auditability, and

access-review support.

• Follow privacy, retention, compliance, and records-management requirements for employee data and integration payloads.

• Partner with HR, security, risk, architecture, and platform teams to document controls, exceptions, and remediation actions.

Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work with HR product owners, business analysts, architects, engineering teams, vendors, and system owners to refine requirements

and deliver end-to-end solutions.

• Produce technical designs, data mappings, sequence flows, configuration documentation, test evidence, release plans, runbooks, and

knowledge articles.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, estimation, backlog refinement, demonstrations, UAT support, deployment, hypercare, and

production support.

• Mentor developers, review designs and code, and serve as a technical escalation point for HRSD and integration defects.

Required Experience & Skills

• 7+ years of ServiceNow development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on HRSD implementation or enhancement

experience.

• Strong knowledge of HR Case Management, HR Services, COEs, Lifecycle Events, Employee Center or HR portals, HR knowledge,

service catalog, Flow Designer, and HR security.

• Demonstrated enterprise-integration experience using Integration Hub, REST, SOAP, scripted APIs, MID Server, import sets, transform

maps, SFTP or file interfaces, and asynchronous patterns.

• Advanced JavaScript and Glide API skills with experience in Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, ACLs, UI Policies,

notifications, and workflow troubleshooting.

• Experience integrating ServiceNow with an HR system of record such as PeopleSoft or Workday and managing employee or

organizational data securely.

• Understanding of OAuth, certificates, SAML or OIDC, identity concepts, secure credential handling, privacy, audit logging, and least-

privilege design.

• Experience with testing, debugging, performance optimization, upgrade validation, source control, CI/CD, and production-support

practices.

• Clear communication, documentation, analytical problem solving, and collaboration skills in a global delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator and Certified Application Developer.

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist for HRSD is strongly preferred.

• IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, Automated Test Framework, or relevant ServiceNow micro-certifications.

• Experience with PeopleSoft HCM, Workday, Azure integration services, APIs, enterprise identity, and monitoring platforms.

• Exposure to Now Assist for HR Service Delivery, Virtual Agent, AI Search, Performance Analytics, and employee-experience optimization.
