The Image or Video Annotator analyzes short video clips and images to identify and annotate key visual components for advanced AI models. Applicants must possess high English comprehension, strong attention to detail, and a reliable computer with stable internet.

Description in English, as published by Turing.

About Turing:

Turing is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI companies accelerating the advancement and deployment of powerful AI systems.

Turing helps customers in two ways: Working with the world’s leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities in thinking, reasoning, coding, agentic behavior, multimodality, multilinguality, STEM and frontier knowledge; and leveraging that work to build real-world AI systems that solve mission-critical priorities for companies.

Role Overview:

We are seeking creative and detail-oriented professionals with strong visual interpretation skills to help advance large multimodal AI systems. In this role, you will work on annotating and analyzing videos or images or both, capturing intricate details such as people, objects, environments, relationships, emotions, and storytelling flow.

Your work will directly contribute to training next-generation AI models to better perceive, interpret, and reason about the visual world, helping them understand scenes, motion, and context just as humans do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze short video clips and images to identify and annotate key visual and narrative components, including subjects, settings, actions, and emotions.
  • Describe temporal sequences, scene transitions, and interactions in videos with high accuracy.
  • Label complex visual cues such as mood, lighting, and spatial relationships.
  • Follow detailed annotation guidelines to ensure consistency, clarity, and data quality.
  • Validate AI-generated outputs for correctness, structure, and relevance.
  • Collaborate with project leads to align on evolving annotation standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Contribute structured datasets that improve AI model understanding of both static and dynamic visual information.

Requirements:

  • English Proficiency: Ability to read, write and communicate in English with high comprehension skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow nuanced instructions with precision.
  • Technical Comfort: Familiarity with basic computer tools and working with file uploads/audio formats.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to understand context and intent in scripts.
  • Past experience in image/video annotation is preferred but is not necessary
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Independence: Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Availability: At least 20 hours/week is preferred, requirement to be finalized closer to the onboarding date.
  • Technical Setup and Equipment: Reliable computer (desktop/laptop) with stable internet connection.

Perks of Freelancing With Turing:

  • Work in a fully remote environment.
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projects with leading LLM companies.
  • Potential for contract extension based on performance and project needs.

Offer Details:

  • Commitments Required: 4 hours per day and 20 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap with PST
  • Engagement type : Contractor assignment/freelancer (no medical/paid leave)

Required skills

  • Communication
