Apply on Turing

I am sending you to the official Turing page. Applying is free and in English.

I earn a commission from the platform when a candidate I referred gets hired. It changes nothing for you.

The Health and Fitness SME fine-tunes large language models by evaluating AI-generated fitness tools and establishing physiological guardrails. The role requires four years of experience in strength and conditioning, personal training, or fitness coaching.

Description in English, as published by Turing.

About Turing:
Turing is one of the world’s fastest-growing AI companies, accelerating the advancement and deployment of powerful AI systems.

Turing helps customers in two ways: Working with the world’s leading AI labs to advance frontier model capabilities in thinking, reasoning, coding, agentic behavior, multimodality, multilinguality, STEM, and frontier knowledge; and leveraging that work to build real-world AI systems that solve mission-critical priorities for companies.

Role Overview:

In this role, you will work on cutting-edge initiatives to fine-tune large language models by grounding advanced health, fitness, and human performance domain logic. The ideal candidate possesses deep experience in evidence-based exercise science, spanning program design, training periodization, volume/intensity progression, and body-metric tracking, along with the ability to translate athletic coaching principles into deterministic spreadsheet logic. You will play a direct role in evaluating and refining AI-generated tools, ensuring outputs match professional strength and conditioning standards.

Requirements:

  • Core Experience: 4+ years in strength and conditioning, personal training, or health and fitness coaching.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep, hands-on familiarity with training periodization models, progressive overload principles, workout logging structures, volume/intensity management, and estimated 1RM calculations.
  • Writing & Logic Translation: Strong, concise professional writing skills with a proven ability to translate athletic training rules and exercise protocols into deterministic spreadsheet formulas and validation structures.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to establish strict physiological guardrails (e.g., progressive overload rate caps, deload week scheduling, volume limits to prevent overtraining).
  • Technical Infrastructure: Personal desktop/laptop equipped with a stable, high-speed internet connection in a remote setup.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will serve as the health and performance expert setting the quality benchmark for fitness-focused AI applications. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Authoring Skills & Guardrails: Defining discovery parameters (training goals, experience level, weekly frequency, equipment availability) and physiological guardrails for AI builders and canvases.
  • Context & Workflow Co-Design: Co-designing interview workflows and validating context files, including workout logs, body-metric histories, and multi-phase program templates.
  • Grounding Golden Assets: Verifying progression formulas, estimated 1RM calculations, training volume rollups, and exercise validation lists across tools like progress trackers and habit loops.
  • Quality Sign-Off: Reviewing and signing off on AI-generated outputs to ensure complete alignment with professional coaching, strength and conditioning, and sports science practices.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in any field.
  • Experience in AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is preferred but not required.

Offer Details:

  • Commitments Required: 40 hours per week with 8 hours of overlap with PST.
  • Engagement type: Contractor
  • Engagement Length: upto 10 weeks
  • Availability: Talent must have weekend on-call availability (part-time engagement is acceptable).

Evaluation Process -

  • Shortlisted candidates will be sent a Job Interest Form.
  • Finalized talents will go through delivery interview & proceeded further accordingly.

Required skills

  • Public Health
  • Health Administration
